Has your Airbnb cleaning service started on a project and found it difficult to complete because you didn’t have the right tools or information? We can sometimes feel like this when we are cleaning and don’t have the proper cleaner for each room or surface.

Not to worry, we have you covered when it comes to cleaning your bathroom. Check it out to see what you could possibly be missing. As writer Jeff Duntemann once said:

‘A good tool improves the way you work.
A great tool improves the way you think.’

1. Mirrors

My Airbnb cleaning service uses the top-down method for cleaning bathrooms. Start with the mirrors in the bathroom. You can use organic glass cleaner from the Clean Cult. If an organic cleaner is not a concern, you can use Windex as it works well and both items should leave no streaks. When cleaning mirrors, be sure to keep a consistent wiping pattern to avoid making obtrusive streaks.

2. Counters

The next step is to clean the bathroom counters. For an organic product, try the Countertop Cleanser. For non-organic, try regular anti-bacterial wipes. Make sure to wipe down items on the counters that may have some dust particles.

When cleaning counters, be sure to move any baskets or items that may be obstructing you. Once finished, place the items back in their former position. If you are feeling like going the extra mile, wipe down light switches and doorknobs.

3. Toilets

After the mirrors and counter-surfaces are wiped clean, take a bit of the same surface cleaner to wipe down the outside of the toilet. Then you can do the inside of your toilet. We recommend just using the Clorox Toilet Wands, and not an organic toilet cleaner. This is because the toilet can harbor dangerous bacteria, so go with the Clorox Bleach products for safety reasons.

Your Airbnb cleaning customers will be happy to see that you’ve taken extra care to the grimier parts of the bathroom. Going above and beyond is important when trying to satisfy your customers.

4. Showers

A great way to wash your Airbnb hosts’ showers is to use a pitcher to rinse off the surfaces after you have wiped them down. Try a good mix of vinegar and water so that your body isn’t exposed to any harsh chemicals while you shower. You don’t want to be breathing in hot steam with Clorox in it. This solution is both organic and effective in disinfecting your shower surfaces.

5. Floors

You will want to clean your floors with Pine-Sol simply because it works on all floor surfaces. Wood, tile, laminate, and more. It isn’t truly organic, but just like the toilets, you will want to make sure your floors are disinfected and clean. Not to mention, it leaves your whole bathroom smelling fresh and clean.

Know you are armed with the right knowledge on what you will need to clean everything from the mirrors to the floors. There are several products to choose from, however, the above-suggested items should give you a good start. Let your bathroom shine after you’ve cleaned. Try your favorite combo and let us know what works best for your Airbnb cleaning service!
