Aloha, today’s post is about cleaning supplies and one way to streamline getting them for your vacation rental business using Amazon.

Amazon “Subscribe & Save”

I order all of my supplies for my two condos using Amazon’s “Subscribe and Save”. They offer a 5% discount just for having your items on subscription and if you order more than 5 items at once, they offer 15% off all of the items! They have a wide variety of items available, but I’m a big fan of environmentally friendly products which they provide at the best prices that I have found anywhere. Some of the products offered are as follows:

  • Bounty Paper Towels (12 count) – $30.44
  • Lysol Toilet Cleaner (2 count) – $3.72
  • Cottonelle Toilet Paper (12 rolls) – $6.00

How it Works

You shop in their “Subscribe & Save” store to compare items, once you find the ones you like and want to subscribe to, you can sign up for a monthly subscription, once every 2 months, or once every 6 months. It’s good if you can have all of your items on the same schedule, so you may have to adjust it by choosing 2 packs of 24 rolls of toilet paper every 2 months and 4 bottles of dish soap every 2 months or whatever your needs are for your rental. This method of supplying my vacation rental ensures that I always have the proper Airbnb amenities for my guests.

I have arranged with my cleaner to receive the supplies at her house and she brings them over to our two condos when she goes to clean. My cleaner lives 5 minutes away from our condos so that is super helpful since I live about 40 minutes away! Coordinating the “Subscribe & Save” purchases with my cleaner has made life as a host much simpler.

Monthly Reminders

I get an email at the beginning of the month reminding me to update my “Subscribe & Save” items needed before Amazon charges me. This gives me the opportunity to change anything that needs to be changed before they charge my card, which is super helpful.

Turno helps my cleaner and I stay on the same page so that she knows when there is a gap between guests and she can bring our supplies over and distribute between the 2 condos that we have. I also pay for everything through my Amazon Prime VISA card so that I get a 5% cashback reward for all my purchases to help optimize my income! The combination of Amazon’s “Subscribe & Save” and Turno ensures that I’m saving money and staying efficient.
